Melbourne To Do: Pink Lake

How amaze is this pink lake?! It's a little hidden gem in Melbourne that myself and Hollie have been meaning to check out for ages. It actually took us three attempts to get here; the first time we missed the bus and it was raining like crazy so we bailed, second time we ended up on the complete wrong bus that lead us to the middle of nowhere but eventually it was third time lucky and we made it there.

This little beauty is tucked away in a little unknown part of the city. It's at Westgate Park just below the Westgate Bridge so if you are travelling to the Great Ocean Road via the Princes Highway you can spot it and its a good place for a pit stop on the way back home.  If you are not lucky enough to have a car you can catch the bus like we did. Get the 235 bus to Fisherman's Bend from Collins Street just outside Southern Cross Station, it takes you all the way to the Pink Lake which is conveniently at the last stop.

As you can see it's the perfect backdrop for a little OOTD shot. Thanks to Hollie for playing photographer, I am in much need of someone to snap my outfits, 2 year olds aren't so great with a camera...

Make sure to pay this little lake a visit and soon because allegedly it changes back to its normal dull lake water colour in the later winter months!
